In 2002, Generator North East, the popular music development agency based in Newcastle upon Tyne, teamed up with Traveller visualists and DJs Nik Barrera (Name) and Raj Pannu to produce a series of events in art galleries that provided a club-related performance from new and experienced DJs. The 'Sound Gallery' project required each of the DJs involved to produce a 15min soundtrack to go with the visuals which featured footage of the famous Shindig clubnight in Newcastle. Paul Lancaster's 'Memory Musical' mix, amongst others was used as part of the week-long exhibition and final live performance that took place at the Hatton Gallery in the University of Newcastle on 17th August 2002.
